Tieke Golf Estate

LOCATION: Waikato

FLIGHT TIME ROUND TRIP: 45minutes

Along the banks of the mighty Waikato River is New Zealand’s latest golf experience. Welcome to the Tieke Golf experience.

Tieke Golf Estate was opened to visitors in 2022 and has quickly become one of New Zealand's most sought-after golf experiences.

Crafted out of sand from the original riverbed of NZ’s mightiest river. Tieke uses the natural river sand, fine fescue turf, creeping bent grass putting surfaces, and a sensational design to provide a wonderful golfing experience for all levels of golfer. Tieke provides a special blend of links and private valley golf, leaving a feeling that you are the only golfers on the course.

The intention is for the ground game to be considered where a well-played “bump and run” shot will be equally rewarded as a skilfully played lofted wedge. The style of golf akin to what’s played on a coastal links despite being more than 50 kms from the nearest beach. The visual appearance of the expansive sandy wastelands adds a strikingand very distinct character to the course that is a nod to the whakapapa or history of the land.

Te Arai North & South

LOCATION: AUCKLAND REGION

FLIGHT TIME ROUND TRIP: 1hr 40min

Te Arai’s landforms vary from heaving sand ridges and meandering valleys to rumpled contours reminiscent of the classic seaside links on which the game began. These contours are the foundation and inspiration for the golf holes of Te Arai Links. The holes are as varied in appearance and character as the land itself. There are lengthy holes and finesse holes. There are holes with varying shapes and sizes, with character and golf strategies based upon the natural contours we discovered on site.

The North Course starts and finishes on the ocean, but for me, the unique character of the course will be found inland. The green of the par-4 5th hole, and the next tee, sit high on a ridge adjacent to an ancient Māori Pa, or hill fortress, built from the largest dune on the property, while the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 9th greens sit in a shared bowl amongst the dunes.

The South Course at Te Arai Links has sixteen ocean-view golf holes and eight holes bordering directly on the sea. Without question, it will be a photogenic and visually stunning golf course.

Wairakei International Golf Experience

LOCATION: CENTRAL NORTH ISLAND

FLIGHT TIME ROUND TRIP: 1hr

Navigate your way through 18 testing holes of exceptional beauty and listen to the cacophony of bird life, the meandering streams, the delightful waterfalls.

The result is a course that sprawls over the property using the natural contours to the fullest. This, coupled with the 6460 meters from the championship tees and 108 large, well-placed bunkers, has led to world wide acclaim. It is the natural beauty and sheer experience of the property that makes Wairakei a must for golf enthusiasts.

Kinloch Golf Course

LOCATION: CENTRAL NORTH ISLAND

FLIGHT TIME ROUND TRIP: 1hr 10min

Kinloch Golf Club is a private golf club located in Kinloch, New Zealand. The club was founded in 2007 and features a 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The course is known for its challenging layout and stunning views of Lake Taupo and the surrounding mountains. Kinloch Golf Club also has a clubhouse, pro shop, and dining facilities for members and guests.

Cape Kidnappers or Kauri Cliffs Golf Course

Choose either Kauri Cliffs or Cape Kidnappers

Cape Kidnappers Golf Course

LOCATION: HAWKES BAY

FLIGHT TIME ROUND TRIP: 2hr 25min

Cape Kidnappers is perched high above the cliffs at the southern tip of the Hawkes Bay, looking out across the Pacific Ocean. Designed by Tom Doak, it also ranks in the world’s Top 100 golf courses and is an absolute showstopper to play. The layout itself is a stern challenge and flows nicely, leaving you in awe of the surroundings while offering two distinct nines. The closing nine is a big hit with visitors and plays along a ridge and valley out towards Cape Kidnappers. The par-5 15th is the hero, rated by Aussie star Adam Scott as his favourite hole anywhere in the world. In truth, it’s one of 18 holes that will have you coming back for more, too.

Kauri Cliffs Golf Course

LOCATION: NORTHLAND

FLIGHT TIME ROUND TRIP: 2hrs 55min

Kauri Cliffs Golf Course is a luxury golf course located on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. The course was designed by professional golfer and golf course designer David Harmon and opened in 2000. It features 18 holes that offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding countryside. The course is considered one of the top golf courses in New Zealand and is often ranked among the best in the world.
